Single Station Jounce Tester-QINSUN

Introduction:

The single-station impact testing machine is designed to evaluate seat components or complete seat systems. Evaluation criteria are typically visual, but may sometimes include electrical aspects (such as connections to seat heaters and other components), and sometimes audio aspects. These criteria include wear and tear, as well as the overall durability of the seat fabric, foam, and underlying support structure.

Configuration:

The upper impact loading mechanism includes a suitable mannequin and loose counterweights that can be added as needed. This upper assembly is guided to the main support frame via eight ball bearings and four lightweight aluminum parallel arms.

The height of the entire unit is adjustable to maintain the parallel arms in a horizontal position using the included level. The entire unit can also be adjusted laterally to align it with the test specimen. Additionally, a bridge crane is included to suspend the loading mechanism during test specimen installation or removal.

It is noteworthy that this mechanical design allows for loading test specimens with appropriate human weight without generating excessive inertial loads, as seen in some other testing equipment. The high inertial loads of some similar equipment increase the severity of the test and may cause some critical specimens that should not fail to fail to malfunction.

The lower buffer platform is servo-hydraulic driven and operated using a PC-based closed-loop control system. Vertical motion is sinusoidal, with programmable frequency and acceleration. The system offers four control modes: platform displacement, platform acceleration, upper component displacement, or upper component acceleration.

For any given acceleration, the amplitude decreases as the frequency increases. The system is also capable of frequency "scanning" and other sequences required for testing. The software, custom-written in Visual Basic by Specialty Machine, Inc., runs on Windows operating systems.

Generally, this durability testing system is quite simple to set up and operate. Technicians with PC operating experience can quickly learn how to operate the machine and software.

Technical Specifications:

The system has a vertical travel of up to 178 mm and can perform road simulations based on accelerometer data collected from driving vehicles.

The single-station spring tester comes standard with one station, but additional slave stations (without data feedback) can be added (see "Spring Tester Stations"). This allows you to test multiple samples of the same seat simultaneously.
