The Metal Wire Torsion Testing Machine is designed to determine the ability of metal wires—with diameters ranging from 0.05 to 30 mm—to withstand plastic deformation during simple or reverse torsion, and to reveal surface or internal defects in the wires.
Simple Torsion: The specimen is twisted until a specified number of rotations is reached or until it fractures; this can be used for either compliance testing or destructive testing.
Reverse Torsion: The specimen is twisted for a specified number of rotations, then rotated in the opposite direction for the same number of rotations, or until it fractures.
Ferrous metal wires/rods: steel wire, steel rods, steel reinforcing bars (rebar), etc.;
Copper-based metal wires/rods: copper wire, copper rods, copper alloys, etc.;
