The water splashing test apparatus evaluates casings and seals of electrical products, appliances, and lighting fixtures, ensuring good performance during/after water testing. It simulates external rain environments accurately, suitable for artificial rain tests under natural conditions without strong winds or significant water ingress from temperature differences, providing environmental simulation and accelerated testing for R&D and quality control.

The main components of the water splash tester include a shower-type spray nozzle, turbine flow meter, high-pressure water pump, pressure gauge, filtration system, water tank, oscillating pipe, sample turntable, control system (including frequency converter and timer), connecting ball valves, water pipes, and baffles.
Connect the water flow meter, hose, and spray device: Connect the water flow meter, hose, and spray device as shown in the diagram.
Open the water valve: Adjust the water flow rate to 10±5% L/min, and ensure the pressure gauge shows a pressure in the range of 50-150 kPa.
Test time: The test time is calculated based on the surface area of the sample, 1 min/m², but the minimum test time is not less than 5 minutes.
Sample placement: The parallel distance from the top of the sample to the nozzle of the handheld spray head should be between 300mm and 500mm.
Test conditions: The water flow rate is calculated based on the number of spray holes in the oscillating tube, with each hole at 0.6±0.5 L/min.
Spray area: The water is sprayed towards the sample, and the distance from the nozzle to the center of the sample is 150mm.
Test pressure: 400 kPa, after 5 minutes of testing, the sample is rotated 90°.
