The Ball Rebound Tester is a specialized device used to evaluate the elastic properties of materials. It quantifies the rebound characteristics of a material by simulating the height to which an object (such as a steel ball) rebounds after freely falling and impacting a sample.
This machine is designed and manufactured according to GB/T6670-97. It is suitable for determining the falling ball resilience of soft polyurethane foams. The instrument calculates the maximum rebound height of the steel ball and the percentage of the falling height of the steel ball by the steel ball with a given diameter and quality falling freely on the foam sample at a specified height, and the rebound rate represents the resilience of the foam. The machine uses microprocessor to control, touch screen Chinese display, and can print test data. The machine has the characteristics of safety, reliability and high measurement accuracy.

1. Sample Preparation
Cut the sample according to the standard (usually circular, with a diameter ≥ the diameter of the steel ball), and ensure the thickness meets the requirements (e.g., rigid foam ≥ 25mm, soft rubber ≥ 6mm).
2. Equipment Calibration
Adjust the verticality of the guide rail and calibrate the drop height (e.g., 100mm, 200mm), ensuring that the steel ball release point is aligned with the center of the sample.
3. Sample Placement
Place the sample on the platform, ensuring there are no wrinkles or bubbles on the surface and that it is in full contact with the platform.
4. Steel Ball Release
Activate the electromagnetic release, allowing the steel ball to fall freely and impact the sample.
5. Rebound Measurement
The system automatically records the highest point of the first rebound of the steel ball and calculates the rebound rate (usually the average of 5 tests).
6. Data Recording
Output the rebound rate, test conditions (temperature, humidity), and sample information.
