Geotextile Dynamic Puncture Tester

The geotextile dynamic puncture tester is used to test the resistance of various geotextile materials to penetration by a steel cone dropped from a fixed height, characterizing the geotextile material's resistance to rockfall impact.

Application

It is used to test the penetration ability of various geomaterials to resist steel cones falling from a fixed height, so as to characterize the rock fall resistance performance of ten geomaterials.

Test Procedures

The geotextile sample is horizontally clamped in the clamping ring, ensuring the sample is wrinkle-free.

A steel cone of a specified mass is allowed to fall freely onto the sample from a certain height (usually 500 mm).

After a hole is formed in the sample, a small, graduated conical probe is inserted into the hole to measure the degree of penetration.

The test results are recorded and analyzed.
