Preparation of test specimens: Prepare test specimens according to standard requirements and condition them at (23±2)℃ and (50±5)% relative humidity for 24 hours.
Instrument calibration: Pour a predetermined amount of sand into the funnel, check the sand flow falling from the lower end of the guide tube, and calibrate the device using the bottom adjustment screw until the center of the sand stream is precisely centered when viewed from two positions 90 degrees apart.
Parameter setting: Set the corresponding test parameters according to the test specifications, including the sand falling speed, time, and the type and particle size of the abrasive sand.
Testing process: Install the sample in the test position of the instrument, start the equipment, and allow the abrasive sand to fall onto the sample surface and cause friction and abrasion.
Data recording: After the test, remove the sample, carefully clean it, and record the change in sample mass to calculate the wear amount.
Results analysis: Analyze the test results, evaluate the wear resistance of the material, and compare it with relevant standards or requirements to generate the final test report.
