Molten metal tester counts drops until specimen temperature rises 40°C.

The instrument is used for determining the behavior of materials exposed to small splashes of molten metal. A welding wire is melted by a burner and drops onto the specimen. The number of molten drops which drop on one point of the vertically fixed specimen is counted until the temperature in the temperature sensor behind the specimen rose by 40°C. The burner is adjusted by a mass-flow meter with manual control valve. The skipping speed of the welding wire can be adjusted as well. The power supply for the controller is provided by an IEC-320 AC power cord set 230 VAC (50/60 Hz).
