Leather Bending Resistance Tester

This instrument is used to test the flexural resistance of leather under continuous bending. It is an internationally recognized instrument for evaluating the flexural performance of various types of light leather and their surface finishes. It can also determine the tendency for cracking to occur in creases due to walking. The bending mechanism of this flexural tester differs from that of a shoe upper flexural tester, and the two instruments complement each other. It is also used for pre-treating samples before measuring water vapor permeability—particularly for testing upper materials of protective footwear.

Application

The Leather Bending Resistance Tester is used to test the bending resistance performance of leather under continuous bending action. The instrument is also suitable for performance verification of new products in R&D, quality control in production departments, third-party testing institutions, laboratory product performance verification, and material performance testing by quality and technical supervision departments.

Test Procedures

1. The 12-test position model is a popular model, allowing users to easily change the workstation arrangement and easily load and unload samples. The entire machine is made of stainless steel, and the digital counter can be preset with the number of cycles, so the machine will automatically stop running when the set value is reached, eliminating the need for constant supervision.

2.  The prepared leather samples are mounted on the upper and lower clamps. After running for a certain number of cycles at the standard speed and stroke, the samples are removed and their bending characteristics are evaluated. The equipment is easy to set up, convenient to operate, stable in performance, and has a long service life.
