Flame retardant paper and board burning tester

The flame-retardant paper and cardboard combustion tester is suitable for testing the combustion performance of flame-retardant and water-washed paper and cardboard with a thickness of no more than 1.6 mm. It is also suitable for flame-retardant paper products with a thickness of less than 1.6 mm that have been coated or printed.

Feature

Test Procedures

Sample preparation: Cut a sample of the standard size (e.g., 21cm × 7cm).
Sample fixing: Secure the sample vertically in the sample holder of the combustion chamber.
Flame adjustment: Use a Bunsen burner or other ignition device to adjust the flame length to the specified value (e.g., 4cm).
Ignition test: Ignite one end of the sample with the adjusted flame, and remove the flame after the specified time (e.g., 12 seconds).
Observation and recording: Measure the afterglow time and the length of charring on the paper strip. Shorter afterglow time and shorter charring length indicate better flame retardant paper.
Result determination: Determine whether the sample is qualified according to the standard (e.g., an average charring length < 11.5cm is considered acceptable).
