1. Function and Application

The Cold Leather, Plastic & Vinyl Impact Tester is designed to evaluate the impact resistance of materials at low temperatures, specifically for automotive interior components such as leather, plastics, and vinyl.

The tester operates inside a cold chamber to simulate extreme environmental conditions. It consists of a guide tube, drop weight, and pencil impact head. Once the specimen has been properly soaked at the desired cold temperature, the impactor is released down the guide tube to perform the test.

This tester is ideal for automotive manufacturers and testing laboratories requiring compliance with OEM cold impact standards.
