This device is a specialized measuring instrument used to determine the thermal and moisture resistance of materials under steady-state conditions. Based on the ISO 11092 standard, it employs the "sweating guarded hot plate method" to accurately test the thermal resistance (insulating performance) and moisture resistance (moisture permeability) of materials such as fabrics, films, and coatings. It is commonly used to evaluate the wearing comfort of textiles and thermal clothing.
By simulating the process of heat and water vapor penetrating fabrics from the human body, this device tests the thermal and moisture resistance values of various materials under stable temperature and humidity conditions. It can be used for testing the thermal and moisture resistance of fabrics, films, coatings, foams, leather, and multi-layer composite materials, such as testing the comfort performance of clothing, quilts, and thermal clothing, and testing the human comfort level of textile fabrics.

WATER CIRCUIT wets the sample. As the sample dries, the device adds water under the porous hot plate. An insertion of a cold water can cause inaccurate results, so we heat the water in a two-stage pre-heater.
UNIFORM HEATING of the hot plate is important for accurate results: we use copper layer to achieve high uniformity. In addition, our temperature regulators measure temperature with 0.018 °C resolution.
EQUIPMENT DRAWER
The trolley includes an equipment drawer and a shelf to store all documents and small parts.
USE YOUR OWN CLIMATE CHAMBER
The device fits in all climate chambers that can accommodate 550x430x600 mm (customizable).
RUNS WINDOWS
No special computer needed. We use a Windows 10 based touch notebook computer with Ethernetand Wi-Fi: it would be easy to store the reports on your network.
The measurement application is free, in English or Czech. We can even do remote support!

1.Daily Maintenance
Wipe the hot plate and sample platform with a lint-free cloth after each test to remove dust.
Check the power cord connection; ensure no loose contacts.
2.Regular Maintenance (Every 6 Months)
Calibrate the temperature control system using a standard thermometer.
Lubricate the sample platform’s lifting mechanism with light machine oil.
3.Component Replacement
Replace the heating ring if surface deformation or heating unevenness occurs.
4.Troubleshooting
If temperature precision drifts: Re-calibrate the temperature sensor or clean the hot plate’s heat-dissipating area.
