The Fabric Touch Tester is designed for the objective evaluation of tactile properties of sheet-like materials such as fabrics, textiles, nonwovens, sanitary paper, and leather. By simulating human touch through a rotor-vibration mechanism, the instrument measures softness, smoothness, stiffness, and hand-feel (HF), providing quantitative data that correlates with human perception. With additional accessories, the tester can also evaluate elasticity, viscoelasticity, plasticity, bursting, compressibility, thickness, and basis weight, making it suitable for R&D, quality control, and production optimization.

Test Procedures

(1) Place the sample on the rotor platform.

(2) Select measurement parameters and test conditions through the software interface.

(3) Start the test; the rotor induces vibrations in the sample.

(4) Sensors capture the vibration signal and transmit data to the analysis component.

(5) Software calculates tactile properties and displays results numerically and graphically.

(6) Export data as CSV or other formats for further analysis.

(7) Repeat for multiple samples to ensure reproducibility.
