Air Permeability Tester of textile fabrics complies with ASTM D737. ISO 9237/7231. BS 5636. etc. It is used to test the resistance of the flow of air through fabrics. There is different air permeability test method to do air permeability testing for textiles, we can offer all the test methods and competitive price.

Applications

The Air Permeability Tester accurately and swiftly determines the resistance of fabrics (woven, knitted and nonwoven textile) to the passage of air (air flow) under constant pre-set air pressure while firmly clamped in the test rig of selected test head/area. The air permeability of the fabric is calculated automatically within a short time.

Test Procedures

1. Sample Preparation

3. Conducting the Air Permeability Test

Place the sample in the test chamber and start the testing instrument, allowing air to pass through the sample under the preset pressure difference. The testing instrument will automatically record and calculate the speed or flow rate of air passing through the sample.

4. Evaluating Test Results

Evaluate the air permeability performance of the sample according to testing standards or customer requirements. Air permeability rate or air permeability index are typically used to assess the air permeability performance of the sample.
