Applicable scope:

The Chrysler bending tester is designed to test the adhesion of coating materials on the substrate through bending and folding, i.e. the mechanical stability of the coating. Design based on Chrysler Laboratory Test Method LP-463LB-9-01. This experiment characterizes the adhesion of coating materials on substrates of vinyl coated fabrics and leather. It can also test the cracking, whitening, cracking, and layer separation of vinyl coated fabrics, leather, unsupported vinyl, and other soft decorative materials.

Product details:

The tester can test four samples at once, including three bent samples and one folded sample. When the bent specimen is clamped at both ends by the fixture and tightened, one end remains fixed and the other end moves horizontally, the bending test can be conducted. Clamp the two ends of the folded specimen close to each other between two opposite flat plates, and apply a 12lb load to the folded area. Close the tablet to apply the corresponding pressure.

Bend the specimen and tighten it with a fixed weight. The tension must be controlled.
