Scientists and engineers at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) optimize the electrodes (FTEs) of electrochemical reactors through 3D printing, which can convert carbon dioxide and other molecules into useful energy products. The research team used graphene aerogel 3D to print out the carbon electrode for the first time, significantly improving the efficiency of transporting liquid or gas reactants to the reaction surface through the electrode.
