Swiss scientists have successfully made nanocrystals using two different metals

The Institute of Electronics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich has developed a new technology that utilizes the fusion process of liquid metal penetrating solid metal to successfully create nanocrystals using two different metals.CNOTextile Testing Instruments, Testing Equipment Manufacturer

Researchers have used this method to produce different intermetallic compound nanocrystals, such as gold gallium, copper gallium, and palladium zinc. The merging process itself can be precisely controlled by introducing secondary atoms as amides into the solution, precisely controlling the proportion of metals in the nanocrystals. The size of the final intermetallic compound nanocrystals can be accurately predicted based on the initial nanocrystal size and the size of the added second metal.
