Introduction:

The True Body Weight Ingress Egress Tester (also known as Seating Fatigue Testers) is used for bump and creep durability testing of car seats. It employs pneumatic servo control to test load, displacement, and angle, and can be used to evaluate the entire seat system or virtually any component thereof. Evaluation criteria are typically visual, including wear and tear on the seat fabric, foam, and underlying mechanical structure, as well as overall durability. It can also be used to evaluate the durability of occupant clothing, depending on the situation.

This equipment typically features four servo motor drive axes and three pneumatic functions. The test dummy's movements relative to the test sample include: forward and backward movement, left and right movement, up and down movement, rotation, free weight drop and retraction, and independent leg movements. All these movements can be performed simultaneously, and the order is not limited.

Features:

1. "Free Weight" Function. In this function, the dummy can move freely up and down under the influence of its own weight (adjustable range approximately 35 kg to 100 kg). This free-floating up-and-down movement complements the servo-driven up-and-down movement and is only effective when the pneumatic locking pin is retracted. 1. In floating mode, rotation and leg activation functions remain available when bearing real body weight. This allows for highly realistic motion sequence programming.

2. Unlike robots that use load cells to measure loads, real body weight includes the dynamic effects of inertia. Robots do not include this factor. Any entry/exit test is a motion test, and any motion is accompanied by inertia. Ignoring this crucial factor alters the fundamental nature of the test and can significantly impact the results.

3. The control system is based on an Allen Bradley PLC. Motion programming can be performed in two ways: using the manual controller and pressing the "teach" button, or directly inputting the desired position in the program. There is virtually no limit to the number of executable steps and the number of test programs that can be stored.

4. Data results are printed.

5. The load is applied continuously without grade breaks and can be loaded via cylinders. Load calibration is simple and easy to operate. Load loading is controlled by a pneumatic servo valve.

6. The testing system uses a template-based design, facilitating maintenance. The interface utilizes virtual instrument technology, facilitating convenient setting of test parameters. It allows for setting the working mode and number of cycles, and motion control is achieved via computer control through I/O.

Operating Procedure and Parameters:

1. Prepare a 3D dummy model indenter. The 3D dummy model should conform to the 50% scale of the SAE J826-2002 standard. 1. Wrap the pressure head with a 12mm layer of foam and denim. Place appropriate weights on the pressure head to maintain a weight of 44.5KG.

2. Fix the seat assembly on the simulated human body entry/exit test bench. Adjust the seat to the designed position and simulate the operation of a robot programmed for human body entry/exit:

① The pressure head slides horizontally into the seat, sinking approximately 25mm into the seat cushion and backrest edges. The pressure head rotates 30 degrees so that the inner rear part of the pressure head enters first.

② The pressure head continues to enter until its center line aligns with the seat center line.

③ The pressure head creeps to stabilize within the seat.

④ The pressure head sinks into the seat until the load reaches 445N.

⑤ The pressure head creeps against the backrest at approximately 30 degrees with a 445N load.

⑥ The pressure head remains in the seat with a 445N load until it is halfway out of the seat.

⑦ Once the pressure head is halfway out of the seat, it slides along the seat cushion edges. A significant indentation occurs on the seat edges as the pressure head moves out.

3. Experimental frequency: 4.5 times/min;

4. Number of experiments: 15.000 simulated human body entry and exit experiments.
