The falling weight tear strength tester is suitable for measuring the tear strength of fabrics or clothing fabrics by the impact pendulum method (Elmendorf method) and can also be used for the tear strength test of protective clothing. and produced by our company Shanghai QINSUN Advanced experimental equipment, heavy hammer: A-800g, B-1600g, C-3200g, D-6400g.
Test principle:
The sample is fixed at the clamp, cut a slit in the sample, release the pendulum at the position of resisting the potential energy, when the movable clamp leaves the fixed clamp, the sample is torn towards the incision, and the work is done by to tear a certain length of fabric is the tear force breaking force.
Applicable Standard:
IOS3917.1 Tear Properties of Fabric Part 1 Determination of Tear Strength Impact Pendulum Method
ISO13937.1 ScTear and tear properties of fabric Part 1 Determination of tear strength by pendulum method
ASTMD1424 Determination of tear strength by pendulum method (Elmendorf)
JISL1096Section8.15.5, MethodD Tear resistance of woven fabrics Pendulum method for tear strength test
JISL1018Section8.16.1, MethodA Pendulum Method for Tear Strength Test of Knitted Fabric

Advantages and features:
1. The company has been engaged in instrument testing for more than ten years and has a after-sales service team;
2 .Be able to solve various problems in time and quickly, and relieve customers from worry;
3. Spare parts are available, which can solve the problem of long delivery time for ordering spare parts ;
4. Outsource maintenance service;
5. Long-term supply of various commonly used test instruments;
6. Bij keep up with the update of industry standards and provide test instruments that meet the new standards in time.
Ambient Humidity Control:
1. The sample humidity control and test should be performed in an environment with a temperature of 21 ± 1 °C and a relative humidity of 65 ± 2 %;
p>p> 2. The sample must be equilibrated in the above environment for at least 4 hours before testing;
3. The samples cannot be stacked during debugging.
Sample preparation:
1. Take 5 samples in each of the warp (longitudinal direction) and weft (width direction) and make sure that each test sample in the same direction does not contain the same warp and weft.
2. When cutting the sample, if it is a solid color cloth, the yarn should be removed at the edge of the sample, When placing the sample preparation template, the short side should be parallel to the yarn in the opposite directiong to test. That is, if the warp yarn is to be tested, the short side of the template should be parallel to the weft yarn; if the weft yarn is to be tested, it should be parallel to the warp yarn.
3. The sample should be taken at least 6 inches from the edge of the selvedge, and the direction of warp should be marked with ↑ on the cut test sample.
