The mask filtration efficiency tester can determine the actual use environment of masks or filter materials based on to the oil mist and salt mist methods required by the standard for filtration efficiency and filtration resistance testing. In addition, the automatic filter material tester can also test the air permeability of the filter material, the test opening: 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8.
Applicable Standards:
NIOSH 42 CFR Part 84 Technical Requirements for Respiratory Protective Equipment;
IOS 2626 Respiratory Protective Equipment—Self-priming filter-type anti-dust respirator for fine dust.
Test material:
Gelaagd mask or filter material.
Test method:
Oil mist test and salt spray test.
Test parameters:
Filtration efficiency, filtration resistance, etc.
Filter efficiency:
Under the specified detection conditions, the percentage of particulate matter that the filter element is filtered.
Oil Mist Detection:
Use DEHS/PAO/DSP and other oily or equivalent substances as aerosols to test the filtration performance of hoods or filter media.
Salt Spray Test:
It is a method of testing the filtration performance of cap or filter material by using NaCl or equivalent halide as an aerosol.
Test Principle:
Oil Mist Method:
Dry and oil-free compressed air enters the aerosol generator at a certain flow rate to form an aerosol with a certain particle distribution After being screened through the cascade impactor, the particles meeting the particle size distribution required by the standard, discharged from the aerosol outlet and enter the test line. And reach the filter material, the differential pressure sensor is installed on both sides of the filter material, the number of particles upstream and downstream of the filter material is monitored during the testing process, and the whole testing process is carried out with a certain flow rate or air volume.
Salt spray method:
Dry oil-free compressed air enters the aerosol generator at a certain flow rate to produce an aerosol with a certain particle distribution, which is cascade-screened by a impactor to meet the particles with the particle size distribution required by the standard are discharged from the aerosol outlet and enter the test pipe.
Since the salt mist aerosol has static electricity, it is necessary to neutralize the salt mist aerosol. And for salt mist aerosols, it needs to be heated to produce salt particles. The method is: will generate fullnThe aerosol with sufficient particle size is mixed with heating gas, and then the water in the aerosol is evaporated to produce salt particles.
Experiment Method:
The particle filtration efficiency test was completed at an ambient temperature of 25°C and a relative humidity of 38%. For the test, the sample was taken out and placed at a low temperature of 38°C and 85% RH. The sample pre-treatment is carried out in the temperature and humidity control room for 25 hours, and the test must be completed within 10 hours after the pre-treatment. Take 3 samples from each batch.
The bacterial filtration efficiency test is also tested on the same batch of medical outer ke masks according to the method of Annex B of the standard YY0469-2011. The pre-treatment conditions are 21°C, 85% RH for 4 hours, and the test is completed after pre-treatment. Take 3 samples from each lot. Use the differential pressure test device to dTo perform the differential pressure test on the same batch of masks, take 5 samples for each batch and select the larger value for the result.
