The Martindale Abrasion Tester can be used to determine the resistance to pilling of textiles and other surface changes. This method is suitable for all textiles, especially woven fabrics. This test method is not suitable for fabrics with a thickness of more than 3mm, because this kind of cloth sample clamp is not tight.QINSUN is a manufacturer of textile testing instruments such as Martindale Abrasion Tester Full short-term after-sale service, welcome customers to inquire in time.
Experimental Sampling:
1. Initial Sampling : generally selected from roll samples.
2. Laboratory Sampling: Take a one-meter sample across the full width of the packaging sampling, taking care to discard the outer one-meter cloth first.
Sample:
Selection, quantity en preparation
1. Unless otherwise specified, the sample must be pre-washed or dry-cleaned before the sample is cut , depending on the final use of the fabric, the humidity can be adjusted and the details can also be determined by negotiation between the two parties.
2. Cut a pair of round samples from each lab, with diameters of 38mm and 140mm respectively.
3. Sampling of laboratory samples. Clothing can be sampled along several pieces. Sampling should be staggered so that the samples do not have the same warp and weft. Wrinkles or other distortions should be avoided at the sampling point. Unless otherwise specified, the cut samples should not be sampled within 1/10 of the edge of the cloth.
Experimental humidity control:
The sample should be conditioned for a minimum of 4 hours in a standard environment with a temperature of21 ± 1°C and a relative humidity of 65 ± 2% .
