The thickness of the color coated plate coating is very bubbleimportant indicator in the inspection of the finished color coated sheet. It directly affects the performance of the color coated sheet, such as processing performance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, etc. For the research of this problem, there are many reports at home and abroad, few reports on the influence of the coating aging process on the layer thickness of the color coated sheet. However, in the actual use of architectural color coated panels, in the sunlit environment, whether the coating thickness changes over time, what kind of changes will occur, and how much the change will be, the discussion of this issue has a certain degree of reality, meaning.
The main cause of coating aging usually refers to solar radiation, ambient temperature and ambient humidity, and the secondary reasons refer to air pollution, acid rain,biological phenomena, wind and sand, etc. There are various types and manifestations of coating aging, mainly the degradation of polymer chains, including photodegradation, oxidative degradation and thermal degradation.For color coated plates used in normal temperature environments, the main aging method would be photo-oxidative degradation.
The test results show that the loss of the layer thickness of the color coated sheet increases with the increase of the ultraviolet aging time. However, color-coated boards of different coating types have different degrees of influence. The loss of film thickness of PE and SMP color-coated boards is relatively large, the loss of film thickness of HDP color-coated boards is small, and the loss of film thickness of PVDF color-coated boards is relatively big small. For blue and white coated sheets of PE, SMP, HDP and PVDF, the loss of layer thickness is linearly positively correlated with theaccelerated aging time of ultraviolet light. The slope of the equation is less than the value of the blue color-coated plate. When using color coated sheets, the layer thickness gradually decreases with time and the protective effect gradually decreases. It is recommended that users of color-coated plates choose color-coated plates with the appropriate colors and coating types based on their use and operating environment.
