The rubber hardness tester is used to measure the hardness of vulcanized rubber and plastic products. The hardness tester head is installed on the stand for convenient and accurate measurement. The rubber hardness tester head can also be mounted or removed for on-site measurement of the rubber hardness tester. It meets the requirements of IOS531 Test Method for Shore A Hardness of Vulcanized Rubber and GB2411 Test Method for Shore A Hardness of Plastics.
Hardness is a test of vulcanized rubber's ability to resist deformation from external forces and is the resistance of materials to external forces such as indentations and scratches. This gives a measure of the modulus of a rubber compound under very limited deformation. When the external force is applied to the durometer by a spring, this method is known as the Shore hardness method.
This rubber hardness tester is called Shore hardness tester, also known as Shore A hardness tester. Press the rubber hardness tester perpendicularly to the surface of the object to be tested, and the scale on the paper that the pointer points to indicates the hardness of the rubber to be tested.
Shore hardness refers to the value measured with a rubber hardness meter. The unit is “degree” and the description method is divided into A and D, which represent different ranges of hardness, below 90 degrees, use the Shore A hardness tester and get the data, 90 degrees and above, use the Shore D -Hardness tester to test and get the data;
So in general B. a rubber or plastic product, during the test, before the test, the tester can make a prediction based on his experience, to decide whether to use the Shore A hardness tester or the Shore D hardness tester for testing.
