How it works:
The most commonly used approach angle method is the fixed cone method (also known as the residual cone method). In the fixed cone method, the powder is injected into the center of a disk of limited diameter until the material on the hypotenuse of the powder accumulation layer automatically flows out along the edge of the disk. The injection is then stopped and the angle of repose measured.
