The ion exchange column is the equimolar molarity reaction between the ions in the water and the ions on the resin in the ion exchange column. A traditional displacement water treatment process.
The ion exchange column is mainly a method of purifying the water (liquid) by exchanging the ions in the ion exchange resin with some ions in the raw water (liquid) to remove them.
It is widely used in chemical, electronic, medical, textile and electroplating industries to produce pure water, soften hard water, decolorize and extract medicines and foods, and recover important chemical raw materials used materials and waste water treatment service.
The principle of ion exchange column

1. Cation exchange resin: R—H+Na+→ R—Na+H+

RH+ROH+NaCL – RNa+RCL+H2O
It can be seen that the Nacl in the water was made up of H+ and OH- respectively absorbed, and the reaction product is only H2O, so that the effect of removing salt in the water is achieved.
3. Mixed ion exchange column (mixed bed):
