Rotary evaporator is a type of evaporating device that is widely used in laboratory. It is suitable for reflux operation, rapid evaporation of a large amount of solvents, concentration of trace components, and reaction processes that require stirring, etc.
Principle of operation:
Rotary evaporators are mainly used for concentration, crystallization, drying, separation and solvent recovery in the pharmaceutical, chemical and biopharmaceutical industries.
The principle is to heat the rotary bottle at a constant speed under vacuum condition, so the rotary bottle rotates at a constant speed, and the material forms a large area film on the bottle wall and evaporates efficiently.
The solvent vapor is cooled by a high-efficiency glass condenser and recovered in the receiver flask, increasing the evaporation efficiency esignificantly improved. It is particularly suitable for the concentration and purification of biological products that are easily decomposed and denatured at high temperatures.
