The vortex flowmeter can also fail during the long-term stable operating state during the operating time. The reasons for such failures are as follows:
< br/> 1. Failure of detection-side components and electronic components
After a long time of operation, some electronic components may reach the end of their lifespan reach and fail, resulting in equipment failure.
2. Damage caused by impurities in the medium
After a long period of work, the dirt in the fluid is on the inner wall of the measuring tube, the surface of the generator and the instrument converter. Adhesion and deposition to the inner wall, surface of the Ggenerator and the surface of the detection element change the geometric size parameters of the measuring tube and the generator;
The measurement error of the instrument increases, as a result of which the sensitivity of the detection element decreases, the signal amplitude decreases, which in turn leads to the failure of the Detection element leads.
3. Lightning Damage
It is a common mistake for field instruments to be damaged by lightning strikes during the thunderstorm season.
Lightning strikes cause instantaneous high voltage spikes and high surge currents in the transmission line, causing the electronic components in the converter to fail or burn out. This type of lightning strike mainly occurs through the power line and signal lines are introduced.
4. Environmental reasons
Long-term erosion of corrosive gases and moisture in the environment will cause the insulation resistance of the Edetection element decreases ;
Besides the corrosion of some electronic components, cable terminals and ground terminals, the contact resistance of the connector also increases and the transmission signal is attenuated.
