Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometer is a precision optical instrument that has been carefully assembled and tested before leaving the factory.
If the instrument can be properly repaired and maintained, it is guaranteed not only improve the reliability and stability of the instrument, but also can extend the life of the instrument.
1. Inspection of the working environment:
1) Placement requirements:
The instrument should be placed on stable a horizontally fixed desktop.
(Because the spectrophotometer is a precision optical instrument, any instability of the desktop during operation will affect its operating status and the instrument's working state, the filament is in one High temperature state. At this time, if there is vibration, the filament will break.)
2) Temperature requirements: the temperature of operation The ambient temperature is between 5 and 35 degrees.
(The inside of the instrument is hot when it is in use, and it needs to use the instrument's own cooling fan to exchange heat with the outside air;
When the outside temperature is too high.If it is too high, the internal temperature of the instrument will become too high, accelerating the aging speed of the instrument's electrical components and lamps, thereby affecting the instrument's operating life.)
(There are many electrical components and optical parts inside the instrument. If the humidity is too high, the electrical components are easy to age or burn out, and the aluminized film on the surface of ( The optical parts are also prone toMold.)
4) Air Conditioning:
No harmful gases and excessive dust in the air can cause corrosion.
2. Inspection of the sample compartment:
1) Before starting the machine, check whether there are any cuvettes or other objects in the sample compartment.
Because the instrument performs a series of functional self-inspections after it is turned on, it will cause self-inspection errors if there are objects in the sample chamber.
2) After each use, check if there is excess solution in the sample chamber, and wipe the sample chamber regularly to prevent the waste liquid from corroding the components or the optical path system .
3) After the test is completed, take the sample out of the sample chamber in time, otherwise the liquid volatilization may cause the lens to become moldy.
Pay special attentioners on volatile and caustic liquids!
If there is liquid leakage in the sample chamber, please wipe it clean in time, otherwise the components in the sample chamber will corrode and the screws will rust.
3. Clean the surface of the instrument:
The surface of the instrument body has been treated by spray painting. If the solution is accidentally spilled, please wipe the case with a damp cloth immediately and never use an organic solution for wiping. If you don't use it for a long time, please make sure to remove the dust on the surface of the instrument in time.
4. Cleaning the cuvette:
At the end of each measurement or when replacing the solution, you need to clean the cuvette in time;
Next, soak in a weakly concentrated acidic solution, and after soaking, the inner and outer walls of the cuvetteRinse e with distilled water, otherwise the residual solution on the cuvette wall will lead to measurement errors.
5. Checking the power supply:
1) When connecting the socket, please check whether the current voltage is the same as the voltage marked on the device the instrument.
2) Since the quality of power grids in different regions varies greatly, it is recommended to equip the device with a voltage stabilizer to ensure more stable and reliable operation.
3) When the instrument is not in use, please turn off the power and unplug the power cord to prevent the laboratory from being damaged by poor grounding of the laboratory power supply.
6. Reminder:
In order to shorten the self-check time, the device will perform a self-check at power-on just to check some routine tasks.
After the Instrument has been transported, transported and used for a period of time (usually a month), there will be an accumulation of structural errors;
Therefore, we recommend: If the above situation occurs or the user does this Feeling that the instrument's test data differs greatly from the empirical value, the user should perform wavelength calibration and dark current calibration on the instrument.
