The tensile testing machine, also known as tensile machine, is an essential tool for testing material properties. It is applicable in a variety of industries and many manufacturers are equipped with this tool. However, the configuration of traction machines in some laboratories can not fully meet the requirements of the relevant standards, which is due to unprofessional reasons for the selection staff of the user's testing machine and the insufficient and sloppy communication of the manufacturer's sales staff. Of course, there is also a small part of the reasons why users are not very aware of standards and are reluctant to invest.
So how do I choose a suitable tensile testing machine?
1, delete the type of test you need to perform
In general, the materials measured are measured in tension, compression, flexure, shear, peel, tear, two-point strain (an extensometer is required ) etc. You need to know what kind of test you will test in the future. Purchase a suitable electronic universal testing machine according to your own needs. If the buyer is not sure what experiments to do, he can also take the advice of the instrument manufacturer hear. Tension bending is usually required, so Paparameters such as elongation and flexural modulus may be required. In this case, it is determined that the instrument must have a control operating system, and general manual and electric instruments cannot display these parameters.
2. Select a tensile testing machine with an appropriate force value
Tensile testing machines with different specifications correspond to different measuring ranges. Within the measurement range, the accuracy of the testing machine is relatively higher. For example, if you are manufacturing rubber products tensile test, according to IOS528-2001 standard “Determination of Tensile Properties of Vulcanized Rubber and Thermoplastic Rubber” and GB9865 vulcanized rubber sample and sample preparation standard, the Gummiprobe generally has a width of 6mm, a thickness of 2mm, and a cross-sectional area of 12m㎡. The strength of the specimen is generally 5-20Mpa, so the tensile force of the rubber specimen is generally 50-500N. In the case of a special specimen, it depends on the situation. The range of rubber products testing machine is generally 500N-2500N .If you choose 50kN, the machine error may be higher.
3 , choose a suitable tensile testing machine according to the accuracy you need
pointer type , digital display type (fine-tuning computer type), generally a file to the end, that is, how big you choose for a sensor, its accuracy range is 1%-100%. For examplea 5000N sensor can only measure a minimum value of 50N theoretically, and it is not within the accuracy range if it is less than 50N. If the test exceeds the accuracy range, is it accurate? It's not within specification.
Computer style, as the computer software automatically divides the sensor area. Therefore, the computer type accuracy is 100 times higher than this B. for a 5000N sensor, its theoretical accuracy is at least 0.5N, and if it is less than 0.5N, it exceeds its accuracy range. Therefore, if the accuracy is not high, use a digital display (microcomputer type) is sufficient. If the accuracy is high and the measurement range is large, it is recommended to use a computer-type clamping machine. The disadvantage is that usually the electric brain-type price is double as high as thatof the digital display!
4, compare customer service
After-sales service must be considered when purchasing tensile testing machine. In the future, give priority to manufacturers with good after-sales service at the same price and quality.
