The universal tensile machine can be used to test T-peel strength.T-peel strength is mainly a method of testing the peel strength of adhesive flexible materials to flexible materials. The instrument used by our company to test T-peel strength is DSL series universal tensile machine. Let me introduce you how to test it.
T-Peel Adhesion Test Method>
1. This test method specifies Describes the T- Peel test apparatus, sample preparation, test procedure, and treatment of test results for flexible material-to-flexible bonded samples.
2. This test method is suitable for determining the T-peel resistance of the adhesive under specified conditions for adhesive samples consisting of two identical or different flexible materials.
3. T-Peel Adhesion Test> Test Principle>
T-Peel Test from Flexible Material to Flexible Material Bond Apply a peel force to the unbonded end of the sample to pull the sample along the bonded line, and the angle between the applied force and the glued line does not need to be controlled.
4. T-type peel strength test>testing device>
4.1 peeling test device
DSL series universal traction machine has a suitable load range, and the chuck can separate at a constant speed and apply a pulling force. The device must be equipped with a robust measuring system and display recording system. The force display error is not more than 2%, and the response time of the whole device should be short enough not to affect the accuracy of the measurement, that is, the applied force can be measured when the bonded sample is damaged. The breaking load of the sample soShould be between 10% and 80% of full standard load.
Recommended usage: National Instruments DLS Series Universal Traction Machine, the device parameters are as follows:
a. Load range: 0-500N (optional configuration 30N 50N 100N 200N 500N)
b. Accuracy: The display error of the level 1 force value is not less than 1%.
c. Resolution: 0.01N
d. Loading speed: 0-500mm/min) can be set as desired
e.g. Pattern width: ≤30mm
f. Stretch stroke: 500mm
g. Standard pressure roller: 2000g ± 50g
h. The length of the test plate is 125mm ± 1mm, the width is 50mm ± 1mm, and the thickness is 1.5-2.0mm.
4.2 Peel Test Chuck
The chuck can firmly clamp the sample and remove the pressure device. In order to obtain uniformity over the entire bonding surface, the pressure plates should be parallel to distribute the pressure. If this is not possible, the press plate should be includedbe covered by the elastic seal. The thickness of the gasket is 10mm, and the hardness (Shore A) is about 45. At this time, it is recommended to apply a pressure of up to 0.7MPa. Another method of sample preparation is to glue two plates of appropriate size into an enlarged sample, and then cut the sample from the enlarged sample. When cutting, cutting heat and mechanical force should be minimized. For the effect of sutures, the outermost 12mm wide strip section of the enlarged specimen parallel to the long side of the specimen shall be removed. The average thickness of the adhesive layer of the sample was determined.
4.3 Number of peel samples
The number of samples for each batch number must not be less than five.
5. State Adjustment and Testing Environment>
The pattern should be adjusted and tested in the standard environment specified in GB 2918. DThe time for the probe to adjust the state should not be less than 2 hours.
6. T-Peel Adhesion Test Test Method>
Separate the unglued end of the flexible test piece and clamp it symmetrically into the upper and lower holders. The clamp cannot slip to ensure that the applied tensile force is evenly distributed across the specimen width. Start the testing machine so that the upper and lower grippers are separated at a speed of 100 ± 10 mm/min. The peel length of the sample must be at least 125 mm, at the same time the recorder records the peel load curve. And pay attention to the type of damage, i.e. adhesion damage, cohesive damage or damage from stickies.
7. Processing of peel test results>
For each sample, measure the average peel force from the relationship curve between peel force and peel length and useN is the unit. The peeling length for calculating the peeling force must be at least 100 mm. But with the exception of the first 25mm, the average peel force can be obtained by drawing an estimated contour line or by planimetry.
